The Farm​

Join our team in the development of our vision as we seek to partner with local agribusinesses to make Ag education a success at Fairmont School.  We would also like to incorporate opportunities for organizations in our community to contribute their wealth of expertise in this exciting educational endeavor. 

AG/STEM Learning Lab

Fairmont’s integrated AG-STEM learning lab will provide a working environment where students utilize state of the art equipment and technology that prepares students to specifically meet the demands of the global economy and future job market. In addition, an Ag business model will be used to design, construct, manage and maintain Fairmont’s farm using digital tools, such as Vernier sensors, graphing and analysis software, digital microscopes, multiple LabQuest Interfaces, and a 3D printer. ​

Curriculum

Fairmont will provide a comprehensive AG-STEM education through the integration of the National Agriculture Food and Natural Resources (AFNR) content standards, Next Generation Science Standards, and our current PLTW Engineering through an activity, project, and problem-based approach. 

Additionally it will tie directly into our Sanger High School Wonderful AG Pathway!
